“There comes that mysterious meeting in life when someone acknowledges who we are
and what we can be, igniting the circuits of our highest potential.”
Rusty Berkus
Not all of our programs need to take place outside of your school or office. Sometimes travel is not necessarily feasible due to time or budget constraints. You may just want to offer your students or employees a short workshop to get them thinking in a different light.
Our customized workshops take individuals and groups through a process of self discovery. Our mission is to work with you to create a workshop (or series of sessions) that meets your desired learning outcomes. Our programs are interactive, dynamic, creative, and encourage reflective thinking. It is our goal to empower people to live authentically. We believe that self- discovery leads individuals to a deeper understanding of their meaning; this leads to a greater awareness of their significance and impact in the world, and more specifically in their immediate communities.
We believe strongly that long term and significant success in life is achieved only when you are rooted in your strengths and values. The belief that leadership begins with self-awareness and ends with contribution is the foundation for all our workshops.
“For the last several years ALIVE Outdoors has been leading team building workshops with our school prefects. Both facilitators each bring a unique perspective to what is it to be a school citizen and a leader. With the well designed interactive program, ALIVE Outdoors encourages students to strive to understand what it means to be part of a larger whole and also how to be true to oneself. I would highly recommend ALIVE Outdoors for any school looking for a powerful program to nurture and support young peoples' personal growth.”
Peter Ostrom Assistant Headmaster, Daily Life Ashbury College
Our ideal group size is relatively small—under 30 people allows for a more intimate and meaningful experience where participants really get to share and learn more about themselves and others. However, we often run workshops for entire grades of up to 120 students at one time.
Workshop Theme Possibilities:
- Recognizing and Utilizing Personal Strengths
- Leadership – in context to personal leadership—Leadership Is Not Popularity.

- The Power of Intention and Gratitude
- Eradicating Cliques & Bullying: We believe that bullying often stems from children who do not necessarily have a healthy vision of themselves, and therefore, they lash out at others. Our workshop on bullying focuses on empowering young people and promoting positive interactions.
- Transitions: Dealing with Change (new job, new school, moving from grade 8 into grade 9, moving from high school to university etc.)
- Using our Vulnerabilities to our Advantage
Our most popular school-based activities are:

- Leadership Is Not A Role ( Emphasis on personal strengths)
- Goal Setting (Life Mapping)
- Team Building for any school team or group—or an entire grade
- First Impressions
