Costa Rica 2026 – Montessori Academy of London – Global Learning Program

Grade 7 & 8 students from the Montessori Academy of London were a part of an incredible trip to Costa Rica. The program focused on conservation and research within the Children’s Eternal Rainforest. Over four special days in the rainforest, the students lived, studied, ate, and became immersed in a research station. This time allowed the students to shift from tourists to travellers, where they were able to settle into the rhythms of the rainforest and see the power of a place. The trip concluded in La Fortuna, where the contrast of the bustle of the city contrasted with the peaceful noise of the rainforest ushered the group home. In final reflections, students shared that “Travellers slow down long enough to notice what the place is teaching them; travellers pay attention, travellers come home changed, but the real adventure was not out there, it was in us,” and that was clear in the days spent in this spectacular place.
